Find the leak.
Fix it once.
Most roof leaks in North Jersey are not roof failures. They are a cracked pipe boot, a lifted piece of step flashing, or a nail that backed out of a valley. We diagnose the real source before anyone touches a shingle, fix it properly, and photograph the finished repair so you can see it.

Diagnose first.
Then repair.
Water rarely shows up inside your house directly below where it gets in. It runs along rafters, follows the underlayment, and drips out at the first seam it finds. A stain over the dining room can come from a chimney eight feet uphill. That is why we start every repair call with a drone flight of the whole roof and a moisture reading in the attic, not a ladder and a tube of caulk.
Once we know the entry point, we fix it the way it should have been built: new step flashing woven into the shingle courses, a new pipe boot with a storm collar, ice and water shield under a rebuilt valley. We match your existing shingle as closely as the manufacturer still allows and we do not leave exposed sealant as the only thing between you and the next storm.
Every repair, start to finish
No surprise add-ons. This is what happens on a standard repair call anywhere in our eight counties.
- 01
Drone and attic inspection
Full roof flight plus an attic check for staining, wet insulation, and daylight at penetrations. You get the photos.
- 02
Written scope and fixed price
One page: what is leaking, what we will replace, and the number. The price does not move once you approve it.
- 03
Flashing, boots, and valleys
Chimney step and counter-flashing, pipe boots, skylight curbs, wall flashing, and valley metal rebuilt with ice and water shield beneath.
- 04
Shingle and decking replacement
Blown-off or cracked shingles replaced course by course. Soft or rotted plywood cut out and replaced with new sheathing.
- 05
Flat roof patching and seams
EPDM and modified bitumen seams re-adhered or patched, ponding areas addressed, and silicone coating where a full restoration makes sense.
- 06
Cleanup and after-photos
Magnet sweep for nails, gutters cleared of debris we created, and a photo set of the finished repair sent to your phone.

What the stain is trying to tell you
Where the water shows up inside is a strong hint about where it is getting in. These are the patterns our crews see week after week in North Jersey homes.
Stain near the chimney
Almost always flashing. Mortar-set counter-flashing pulls away from brick over time, and older step flashing rusts through.
Drip around a bathroom vent
The rubber pipe boot has cracked. They last 10 to 15 years in our climate and the fix is quick if caught early.
Leak only during wind-driven rain
Wind is lifting shingles or pushing water sideways under a wall or dormer flashing. Needs a close look, not just a tube of sealant.
Leak after a snowstorm, not rain
Ice dam at the eave. Melting snow backs up under the shingles. Fix is ice and water shield plus better attic ventilation.
Shingle granules filling the gutters
Normal in small amounts. Heavy loss across the roof means the shingles are near the end and repair money is better spent on replacement.
Sagging or spongy spot when walked
Decking has been wet for a long time. The plywood needs replacing along with whatever is letting water in above it.
Roof Repair questions
How fast can someone come out for a leak?
Active leaks are scheduled for the same or next day. Non-urgent repairs are usually on the calendar within the week. If water is coming in right now, call rather than filling out the form and we will dispatch a tarp crew first.
Do you charge for the inspection?
No. The drone flight, attic check, and written scope are free. You pay only if you approve the repair.
Can you match my existing shingles?
Usually. We stock the common GAF and Owens Corning colors and can order most others. Shingles fade over time so a repair will be slightly darker than the rest of the roof at first, then blend in over a season or two.
Will you just caulk it?
Sealant is a temporary measure, not a repair. We use it to seal fastener heads and the top edge of counter-flashing where it belongs. If a leak can only be stopped with caulk, the flashing or boot underneath is being replaced.
Is the repair covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every repair carries our 10-year workmanship guarantee on the area we worked on. If the same spot leaks again, we fix it at no charge.
Will my homeowners insurance pay for the repair?
If the damage came from a storm, wind, or a fallen limb, often yes. We photograph everything from the air and provide a dated report that adjusters accept. Wear and age-related leaks are not usually covered.
